Delivery and Returns

Delivery

With the exception of a few 'Heavy Items' (see below), we offer free Royal Mail delivery on all orders over £50 (inc vat). With this service, they aim to deliver within two working days, with a small minority within three working days. Any orders below £25 will incur a small carriage fee of £3.50 (inc vat). You will also have the option to upgrade to next day courier for a fee of £8.95. This fee of £8.95 is the same as it costs us to ship the items to you.

Please be aware, if you are ordering multiple items, some of which are non-stock items (not currently in stock at our warehouse), we will ship your order to you when all items are available.

If you upgrade your shipping to next day carrier, we will only send the items out to you that are currently in stock, you will then be sent your other items when they arrive at our warehouse, sent by the Royal Mail 48 service.

Some non-stock items will be dispatched directly to you from our suppliers.

Please Note: Cable products will incur a delivery cost when you order a certain length. You will see this delivery cost when you checkout.

Stock availability

While we aim to display the correct stock levels on the product pages, please note that sometimes the availability is not always correct. When this occurs, we will contact you to confirm the availability and the estimated delivery date of the product(s) you have ordered. Please be aware that we some products we do not keep in stock we source from various suppliers. I can sometimes be the case that we may have an issue sourcing a product, for example it has become discontinued or delayed in production. Again, if this is the case we will be in contact with you and we will do our best to offer you an alternative.

Ordering multiple products with differing stock levels

If you place an order which contains some in stock products and some products not in stock, we will wait until all of the products are available to be shipped to you.

Heavy Items

Some items we sell are classed as 'Heavy Items'. These items have to be handled differently, and as such, we need to charge you a slightly higher postage rate. Products that qualify as 'heavy items' are flagged on the product page as such. Items such as conduit lengths and trunking lengths also fall into the 'Heavy' bracket - due to their lengths and need to be shipped by courier.

Delivery times

We aim to process all orders placed before 3pm on the same day. Once the order has been processed, it will be in the hands of the delivery company. Because of this, we cannot guarantee any delivery times, but if you need to do so, please contact us and we can arrange a guaranteed delivery time. Please note, we do not process any orders on a weekend or bank holidays, therefore any order placed after 3pm on a Friday will not be processed until the following Monday.

Please make sure you check the availability status on the product page - this indicates when we are to due recieve the items into our warehouse. When we receive the items in stock from the supplier, we will ship the same day.

Packing Material

Where possible we recycle packaging material. Being an electrical wholesaler means we get a lot of packaging coming through our warehouse and to help do our little bit for the environment we make sure we re-use as much of this material as possible. We will only send out items to you that are well packaged and secure.

Returning unwanted items

We offer our customers a 14 day period in which to return unwanted products to us, in the same condition we sent them out - which is new and with unopened packaging.

Before sending any items back to us, you must let us know why you are returning and when we will receive the item.

Any item returned to us must include your full contact details and the original order number, so we can process the return in a timely manner. Any item sent to us should be sent using a recorded service (second class recorded, or courier), as any items not received by us cannot be refunded. Any cost of returning an unwanted item to us will not be refunded, meaning you are liable to pay the return postage to us.

Once we have received the unwanted goods, a full refund of the original purchase price, not including original postage costs, will be refunded to the original payment method. Any items originally ordered with free delivery will have the delivery costs deducted from the refund amount.

You must make sure that the packaging is unmarked, otherwise we are within our rights to withhold the refund payment.

Returning damaged items

If you receive an item which is damaged, please notify us with 7 days of receiving the parcel. We request that you email sales@liddellelectrical.co.uk with a photograph of the damaged item and the packaging, as well as your full contact details and the order number. Do not send us the damaged item unless we specifically request the item to be returned to us.

If you receive an incorrect item, again please email sales@liddellelectrical.co.uk as soon as possible so we can determine the best course of action. Again, please wait for our confirmation before returning the item to us.
